About the roleAs a Machine Operator at PMC, you're the person who turns raw material into finished parts customers actually rely on. This is a 3rd shift opportunity.
Read shop orders to determine job specifics including die, material, colorant, packaging, and speed.
Conduct quality checks using calipers and tape measures, ensuring precision and catching issues early.
Learn packaging processes and ensure labels are applied correctly for various customers like Kabri, LTI, and Troyer.
Log into the computer system for clocking in and out, accurately entering production data.
Manage scrap by weighing and recording it properly.
Assist with die changes and setups to meet specifications with the right materials.
Maintain cleanliness and safety on the line and shop floor.
Operate a forklift to move materials and finished goods.
Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus, but not required; hands-on training is provided.
- Comfortable reading measurements and using tools like calipers and tape measures.
- Basic computer skills for logging production and time.
- Forklift experience or willingness to get certified.
- Able to stand, lift, and move products for a full shift.
- Team-first attitude and willingness to help others.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in doing the job right.
