American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Clinic position requiring an active IN or compact RN license and at least 2 years of oncology experience.

• Outpatient oncology clinic setting within a hospital
• Medical oncology patient population
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with hours that may vary slightly
• No weekends or on-call requirements
• Cerner EMR experience required
• May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume and census

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Chemotherapy administration skills required
• Experience with continuous infusion, oral administration, monitoring, and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy preferred
• Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) and OCN certification preferred
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, neutropenic precautions, wound care, and tracheostomy care preferred
• Post-surgical care experience preferred
• Skilled in patient and family education and psychosocial support

• Administer chemotherapy and provide comprehensive oncology patient care including monitoring and education
• Provide patient and family education along with psychosocial support
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Maximum RTO of 10 days; must work at least one of three major holidays if RTO falls during a holiday period
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous employees must have a 3-year gap before returning as a traveler
