American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN for a night shift assignment requiring telemetry, cardiac medication, and infusion experience.
Requirements- Active IN RN license or compact license required by start date
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of PCU/telemetry nursing experience required
- Cardiac medication and infusion experience required
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) with telemetry monitoring
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Possible floating within scope to meet facility needs
- Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and IV therapy
- Skills such as arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and wound care are relevant to this unit
- Holiday coverage required for one of three major holidays if requesting holiday time off
- Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted
- Former facility employees must have a 3-year separation before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
