Description
The Cashier is responsible for interacting with customers as they enter and leave the retail store. The primary function is to provide excellent customer service. Hours vary and may require occasional night or weekend coverage assistance.

Hourly Pay Range
$12.00–$13.00, depending on experience.

• The Cashier reports directly to the Store Manager.
• The Cashier has no direct supervisory authority.

• Greet customers as they enter the store, assisting with customer service questions.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately.
• Handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
• Ensure accurate cash handling.
• Price store merchandise as requested by management.
• Stock merchandise on shelves as requested by management.
• Handle customer returns.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Long periods of standing.
• Frequent bending and twisting.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Retail store environment.
• Cold and warm conditions.
• Irregular work schedule.

Computer, calculator, cash register-scanner, telephone, fax, copy machine, computer software and network.
