Maintenance Technician - Night ShiftRegular Full-Time Maintenance

Elkhart, Indiana, US
Salary Range: $30.00 To $40.00 Hourly
Essential Job Functions- Dismantle, rebuild and reassemble machinery using hand and power tools
- Install wiring of electronic devices
- Installation of a wide range of new and used equipment
- Wiring new electrical panels by following electrical drawings/prints
- Installation of both water and electrical plumbing
- Support required ISO documents/records associated with this department
- Observe and listen to operating machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs
- Maintain preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled
- Complete yearly RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT Initial Training/Annual Review
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and components
- Experience with 120V, 240V, 480V 3-phase and low voltage controls
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, diagrams and blueprints (German equipment)
- Ability to work independently; self starter
- May be requested to perform overtime activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Forklift driving experience desired
- Completion of High School, GED or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience working as a Maintenance Technician or Electrical Technician, maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical problems
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements (Lock Out/Tag Out, Pinch Points, electrical codes, HMIS/MSDS requirements, waste disposal)
- Must comply with all company rules and policies
While performing essential functions, the employee operates within a plant environment and is exposed to loud continuous noise from surrounding operating machinery.
Physical DemandsThis is an active role in a manufacturing environment. The employee must frequently stand, balance, walk, twist, turn, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, reach, and lift objects up to 50 pounds. Repetitive hand and wrist movements, including forearm rotation, are required. Specific visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Shift Times: 2pm-10pm (2nd Shift, 10% Differential), 10pm-7am (3rd Shift, 15% Differential).
