Mechanic Helper

In this role, you'll support our team of skilled mechanics in maintaining and repairing our diverse fleet of waste management vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This position offers a hands-on learning environment where you can enhance your mechanical skills while working on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and lubricating parts.
• Assist in the diagnostics of mechanical issues and help conduct preventative maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the workshop.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols set in place by Waste Connections.
• Help manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Participate in training sessions to grow technical skills.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance.
