The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical production equipment across our electronics and wire harness manufacturing operations. This role is essential to maintaining maximum equipment uptime and ensuring consistent product quality. We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on technician who can work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and partner closely with production teams to minimize operational disruptions.

This position also requires participation in facilities, delivery vehicle and forklift maintenance. First shift schedule.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preventative Maintenance & Repair
  • Develop, execute, and document scheduled preventative maintenance programs for all assigned equipment to maximize uptime and extend asset life.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic failures; perform timely corrective repairs to restore equipment to full operating condition.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, PM checklists, and repair records using a CMMS or equivalent system.
  • Order and manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available when needed.
Equipment Coverage
  • UV Printers:
    Perform head cleanings, ink system maintenance, media transport adjustments, UV lamp replacements, and software-level troubleshooting.
  • PCB Assembly Equipment:
    Maintain SMT pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, wave soldering systems, and inspection equipment.
  • Wire Harness Equipment:
    Service wire cutting/stripping machines, crimping presses, terminal applicators and welders.
  • CNC Mills:
    Execute routine maintenance, spindle checks, tooling inspections, axis calibration.
  • Injection Molding Equipment: hydraulic system maintenance, temperature controller, and system leaks.
  • Potting Equipment:
    Perform cleanings, and maintenance to 4 dispensing machines including operational support to Epson Robot.
Operational & Safety Support
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to proactively identify equipment issues and schedule maintenance around production demands.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
  • Strictly follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and facility safety procedures; enforce and promote a safety‑first culture on the shop floor.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and OEM service technicians for specialized repairs or warranty work as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in an electronics, wire harness, or precision manufacturing equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience maintenance of related equipment types listed above.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and basic PLC/control systems.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM service manuals.
