Job TitleCDL Class A Truck Driver — Hourly, Full Time
Responsibilities- Safety and Compliance
- Complies with driver responsibilities as outlined in company DAART program and as required by DOT
- Maintain vehicle in accordance with Elkhart Transportation management policy
- Operate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, complying with company policy and procedures, and applicable state and federal laws
- Support on-time delivery by transporting loads via established routes to proper destinations as efficiently as possible while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Inspect trailer loads to ensure proper loading processes and that the correct load is secured before leaving the facility
- Verify product count while the truck is being loaded
- Obtain correct acknowledgment or signature and date for bill of lading and necessary signatures; return properly completed documentation to the Transportation Manager
- Other duties as assigned
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- License: CDL A License required
- Experience: 1+ years in previous tractor trailer driving experience
- Ability to work safely adhering to all safety processes and policies
- Forklift experience a plus
- Proven ability to work SAFELY adhering to all safety processes and policies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion to support operational and business needs

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly, up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours a day
- Bend, stand, squat, twist repeatedly
Work Environment:
- Loud environment that requires hearing protection
- Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Manufacturing facility with machinery and equipment
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock
- On the road, the employee may encounter traffic or other hazardous driving conditions
