Job Title:
Distribution Operator General Responsibilities
- Timely delivery of material and products to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Loading and unloading of goods and supplies, always ensuring proper handling.
- Ensure the neatness and proper stocking of inventory in assigned locations.
- Proper picking, packing, and preparing of accessory orders for shipment.
- Prepare appropriate documentation for outbound shipments.
- Operate all types of forklifts in compliance with all company safety regulations.
- Operate the Shipping Management system and load small parcel carrier trucks.
- Perform cycle counting of inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred but not required.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Excellent attendance is required
- Previous experience with pallet jackets, tape dispensers, utility knives is a plus
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment with co-workers
- Strong attention to detail
- Possess basic math skills with ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply
- Light computer/data entry experience
- Requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
- Visual and hearing acuity.
- Requires ability to frequently lift 35 lbs or less unassisted; occasionally lift 36-70 lbs with assistance, if needed; lifting greater than 70 lbs requires assistance.
- Warehouse environment with exposure to dust.
