INVENTORY COORDINATOR
Salary: $41,600–$52,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM and Friday, 7:00 AM–11:00 AM; flexibility for a traditional Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule
Position OverviewWe are seeking an Inventory Coordinator to support an Engineering/R&D team working on an automotive battery prototype. This position will provide hands‑on inventory and materials support to help the team complete prototypes through the end of the year.
This is a great opportunity for someone with inventory, materials, parts, stockroom, or warehouse experience who enjoys hands‑on work and can quickly learn established processes.
Responsibilities- Identify and accurately count inventory returned from Quality Assurance inspections.
- Return parts to designated inventory and stock locations.
- Maintain accurate counts of parts, quantities, and locations.
- Update basic Excel spreadsheets tracking part numbers, descriptions, locations, and quantities.
- Identify and communicate shortages or inventory discrepancies to Material Planners.
- Work with the Buyer regarding incoming materials and low inventory levels.
- Follow established work instructions and inventory procedures.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Materials teams.
- Perform basic computer tasks using Excel, email, and inventory/ERP systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of inventory, materials, parts, stockroom, warehouse, or related experience preferred.
- Basic Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate inventory counts.
- Ability to follow established procedures and learn new processes quickly.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions when needed.
- Comfortable working hands‑on with inventory in a warehouse/engineering environment.
