POSITION SUMMARY
The BIM Manager is responsible for the ownership, development, and continuous improvement of Palmer Hamilton’s digital product libraries and configuration assets across multiple design platforms. This position ensures that all BIM-related content—including Revit families, CET Designer assets, and product asset packs—are accurate, organized, and aligned with current product offerings.
This role serves as the primary administrator and technical owner of the company’s BIM infrastructure, establishing standards, maintaining version control, and supporting internal and external users with high-quality digital content. The BIM Manager works independently to develop structured processes and workflows that promote efficiency, consistency, and ease of use.
This position is based at Palmer Hamilton’s corporate office in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, with the potential for a hybrid schedule based on business needs and candidate qualifications.
POSITION OBJECTIVES- Ensure Revit libraries remain current, accurate, and aligned with product offerings
- Build, organize, and maintain CET Designer libraries and asset packs for dealer and design use
- Maintain clean, organized digital libraries with proper version control and archiving
- Partner with Engineering and Marketing to ensure product accuracy and documentation consistency
- Manage BIM-related requests through a structured and efficient workflow
- Take full ownership of Palmer Hamilton BIM management processes, including Revit and CET libraries
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve workflows for efficient library maintenance
- Establish and maintain naming conventions, organization standards, and file structures
- Maintain version control systems and archive outdated families and types as needed
- Create, update, and maintain Revit families with high accuracy and strong functionality
- Align existing Revit content with current product offerings and pricing documentation
- Validate family performance including rendering, scheduling, parameters, and model behavior
- Maintain Revit materials libraries and templates based on design team needs
- Respond to internal requests for corrections, updates, and improvements
- Build and manage CET Designer files and product asset structures
- Establish CET library standards and repeatable build processes
- Ensure CET assets align with engineering constraints and pricing specifications
- Partner with Engineering and Marketing to confirm accuracy and completeness
- Communicate regularly with Engineering and Marketing regarding product changes
- Identify and report inconsistencies in spec sheets, documents, and pricers
- Obtain required product files and specifications to support modeling needs
- Ensure digital assets accurately reflect current product configurations
- Create and maintain standardized product asset packs including 2D CAD, 3D CAD, Revit, 3D Studio Max, and CET Designer
- Maintain and publish current Revit families to the company website
- Support inbound model requests from Sales, Customer Service, and external partners
- Coordinate with external consultants when necessary, including requirements definition and QA oversight
- Strong technical expertise in BIM content creation and management
- Advanced Revit family creation skills, including parameters, schedules, materials, and templates
- Ability to organize and maintain structured digital libraries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret product specifications, pricing documents, and technical catalogs
- Strong Excel and data tracking skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
