Cycle Counter
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Cycle Counter for a company in Elkhorn, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.
Wage: $18.00-$20.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours:
7:00am-3:30pm
- Perform daily and scheduled cycle counts of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Investigate, analyze, and reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Accurately record count results in the ERP/MRP system
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Shipping to resolve inventory variances
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, and traceability of stainless steel materials (heats, lots, serials, etc.)
- Support compliance with GMP, FDA, and industry-specific quality standards
- Assist with physical inventories and audits (internal and external)
- Verify inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments
- Identify root causes of inventory errors and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe inventory areas in accordance with 5S and safety requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or materials management in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math skills and ability to interpret inventory data
- Ability to read and understand work orders, bills of material, and material certifications
- Familiarity with stainless steel products, lot control, or traceability preferred
- Preferred experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Preferred knowledge of GMP, FDA, ISO, or ASME standards
- Preferred forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Preferred experience with continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S)
- Preferred good communication skills
