Position Overview

Wine & Spirits Associate (Part Time) – Hansen’s IGA Market, Elkhorn, WI 53121. Job shift:
Any.

• Serve customers in the Wine & Spirits Department while modeling Hansen’s IGA Market culture and providing “best in class” customer service, which includes greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business.
• Assist customers in selecting products, answering questions and offering suggestions as needed.
• Assist customers in discovering Hansen’s IGA Market extensive wine & spirits offerings through active sampling and educational programs.
• Stock, rotate and face the Wine & Spirits Department aisles.
• Maintain and work back stock items and coolers.
• Participate in active and passive Wine & Spirits demonstrations.
• Interacting with vendors as needed.
• Create innovative display cases based on the sales for the week (directed by manager).
• Utilize u‑boats, flat carts and other equipment to properly transport product.
• Assist with unloading deliveries and gathering items to be stocked.
• Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Wine & Spirits Department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Assist with all other Wine & Spirits Department duties as needed.

• Minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of Wine & Spirits equipment.
• Eagerness to interact with customers.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills.
  
  Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner.
• Strong sense of team – ability to anticipate the needs of the team.
• Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
