Adams, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as HVAC Apprentices. This position offers a structured, four-year apprenticeship program that combines hands‑on field experience with technical training, preparing you for a successful career as a Journeyman HVAC Technician.
Whether you are just starting your career or already have HVAC experience, this is an opportunity to grow with a family‑owned company that has proudly served Wisconsin and Northern Illinois for more than 35 years.
What You’ll Do- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Assist with residential and commercial HVAC installations
- Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
- Learn troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Operate HVAC tools, instruments, and testing equipment
- Follow OSHA, safety, and industry regulations
- Deliver exceptional customer service in the field
- Complete required apprenticeship and classroom training requirements
- Approximately 8,000 hours of paid on-the-job training
- Approximately 4 years of progressive development
- Ongoing mentorship from experienced HVAC professionals
- Technical and classroom instruction
- A pathway toward Journeyman HVAC Technician status and applicable Wisconsin licensing requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Ability to work in varying weather and jobsite conditions
- Ability to enroll in and complete apprenticeship training requirements
- At least 2 years of professional HVAC experience is preferred, not required
- HVAC trade school or technical education preferred
- EPA Section 608 Certification required within first year
- Experience in construction, maintenance, mechanical, or service trades a plus
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and diagnostic tools a plus
No HVAC experience? No problem.
