Join Our Team as an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician – Make a Lasting Impact on Women's Health
Are you a dedicated OB-GYN physician seeking an opportunity to deliver exceptional care in a dynamic hospital setting? We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician to support our Labor and Delivery department at a prestigious Level IV trauma center. This vital role offers the chance to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment, making a difference in the lives of patients during some of their most important moments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive labor and delivery coverage in a high-acuity setting.
- Support surgical teams with required procedures and clinical duties.
- Cover 24-hour call shifts, averaging 5-10 days per month.
- Manage a patient volume of approximately 10-15 call-in patients weekly.
- Utilize the Paragon EMR system for documentation and patient management.
- Collaborate with OR and L&D staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid State Medical License (IMLC or temporary license accepted).
- DEA certification.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in OB-GYN.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
- Experience working in a Level IV trauma center.
- Familiarity with the Paragon EMR system.
- Additional certifications such as Fetal Monitoring or Neonatal Resuscitation.
Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Prior experience in labor and delivery and high-acuity obstetric care.
- Proven track record of excellent patient care and teamwork.
- Must be willing to work night shifts (19:00 - 07:00).
- Credentialing completion within approximately 60 days.
- Willingness to obtain or hold current licensure, certifications, and DEA registration.
- Any necessary travel or licensure reimbursements will be provided.
