The Housekeeper keeps the health center and business office in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. The Housekeeper reports to the Director of Operations or as directed.

• Other duties may be assigned.
• Arranges boxes, material, furniture and/or other equipment in neat and orderly manner.
• Cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from floors, walls, and furniture.
• Cleans screens and filters.
• Scrubs sinks and counter tops
• Cleans floors.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, and other work areas.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Follow cleaning schedule posted in the housekeeping folder.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Replaces light bulbs.
• Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Understanding of Health Care Laws and Regulations

Must have the ability to follow HIPAA guidelines as well as an understanding of policies and procedures regarding medical records put in place by the Federal Government, Medicaid, Medicare, and WV Behavioral Health Laws put forth by the WV Department of Health and Human Resources.

Computer Literacy

Knowledge of basic computer software (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the willingness and ability to learn electronic medical records software.
