The Desktop Support Technician provides frontline technical support for clinical and administrative staff in a hospital environment. This role ensures reliable operation of end‑user devices, clinical applications, and network connectivity to support patient care and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on‑site and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application issues in a timely, high‑impact healthcare setting
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and security updates
- Support clinical systems (e.g., EHR access, badge readers, medical device interfaces) as needed
- Manage tickets and document resolutions in accordance with SLAs and compliance standards
- Coordinate with infrastructure, security, and application teams for escalations
- Maintain asset inventory and perform equipment deployment, moves, adds, and changes
- Follow HIPAA and hospital security protocols to protect patient data
- 2+ years of desktop or IT support experience (healthcare preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
- Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical environments is a plus
- Desktop support, troubleshooting, hardware, Active Directory, Windows 10, technical support
Contract position based out of Elkins, WV. Fully onsite.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $20.00–$25.00 per hour.
