Job Description & How to Apply Below

AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE ADVISOR High-Performance Shop | GP-Based Pay | No Income Ceiling

If you are a strong automotive Service Advisor who knows how to move work, communicate with customers, and close legitimate repairs without sitting around waiting for things to happen, keep reading.

We are building a high-performance automotive repair shop — not a comfortable place for average performers.

Our business runs on speed, accountability, transparency, and results.

We believe customers should get answers quickly, technicians should own the technical side of the repair order, and Service Advisors should be focused on what they do best:

Communicate. Present. Follow up. Close.

If that sounds like the environment you perform best in, we want to talk.

WHAT MAKES THIS POSITION DIFFERENT

This is not a traditional salary-plus-commission Service Advisor position.

Your compensation is tied directly to the Gross Profit you help create.

There is no guaranteed base pay.

Why?

Because we want our compensation system aligned with performance.

When the shop wins, you win.

When you produce more profitable work, take better care of customers, follow up faster, and increase sales, your compensation increases with it.

Compensation Structure: GP-based performance pay
Expected Earnings: $60,000 TO $100,000 + annually based on production

There is no artificial ceiling for a strong producer.

WHAT WINNING LOOKS LIKE HERE

A great Service Advisor in our shop:

  • Answers inbound calls quickly
  • Creates urgency instead of delay
  • Gets customers into the shop today whenever possible
  • Does NOT attempt to diagnose vehicles over the phone
  • Does NOT throw out repair prices without inspecting the vehicle
  • Keeps customers informed instead of leaving them wondering
  • Presents technician findings clearly and confidently
  • Leads with the customer's primary safety concern
  • Asks for the sale
  • Keeps approved work moving
  • Follows up on declined work
  • Owns the customer relationship from initial call through final follow-up

Our standard is simple:

Fast answers. Clear communication. No disappearing. No indecision.

OUR SPEED STANDARD

Waiting kills trust.

Our goal is to have vehicles dropped off in the morning:

Inspected, diagnosed, estimated, and presented to the customer before 11:00 AM.

That means Advisors cannot sit on estimates.

You must be comfortable working in an environment where speed matters.

We would rather make a clear decision early than create a perfect answer three hours too late.

YOU ARE NOT THE TECHNICIAN

Our technicians perform the inspection.

Our technicians diagnose the vehicle.

Our technicians identify the needed repairs.

Our technicians build the repair order with the required parts and labor.

Your job is to take that information and turn it into a clear customer decision.

You are responsible for:

Presenting. Explaining. Finessing. Closing. Following up.

If you believe an Advisor needs to second-guess technicians, diagnose vehicles from the front counter, or spend half the day building estimates from scratch, this will not be the right shop for you.

OUR SALES PHILOSOPHY

We do not believe in overwhelming customers with a giant estimate and hoping they figure it out.

We believe in Show & Sell.

Safety comes first.

When there is a legitimate primary safety concern:

  • Show the customer what was found.
  • Explain why it matters.
  • Ask for authorization.
  • Keep the vehicle when appropriate.
  • Continue the inspection.
  • Present the remaining legitimate work before repairs begin.
  • We sell through clarity and evidence — not pressure.

FOLLOW-UP IS PART OF THE JOB

Declined work does not disappear when the customer leaves.

    Especially safety-related work.

    We follow up.

    A simple:

    “Did you get home okay?”

can be more powerful than another discount.

If you are someone who writes declined work on a repair order and forgets about…
