Job Overview

This position is responsible for driving the strategic growth and market position for aftermarket mining products across the United States and Canada. This role leads the development and execution of product strategies, leveraging market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, optimize product offerings, and expand market share.

Partnering closely with regional sales teams, engineering, marketing, and key customers, the Product Manager guides the full product lifecycle—from concept and business case development through commercialization and ongoing performance optimization. The role ensures alignment between customer requirements, product capabilities, and business objectives while supporting pricing strategy, product configuration, and application fit.

This position also serves as a key customer‑facing leader, building strong relationships with mining operators, dealers, and internal stakeholders to understand evolving industry needs, support technical discussions, and deliver value‑driven solutions. Additionally, the role contributes to new product development initiatives, supports go‑to‑market activities, and represents the organization at industry events and customer engagements.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strategic product plan, including market requirements, competitive landscape, gaps, product positioning, lifecycle, pricing, operations footprint and product support plan. Assist with compiling the master plan for the Surface Products Division.
  • Use available tools and computer systems to analyze sales history, win/loss reports, forecasted opportunities and product market share to understand current market position and establish desired growth positioning.
  • Oversee current product offerings through revision of product pricing, product applicability, and configurations. Evaluate requests from the field and participate in project definition meetings to ensure compliance to customer requirements.
  • Create ideas and define need for new product introductions and develop business case justifications to determine feasibility.
  • Guide product development through engagement in concept and design phases. Continually evaluate and adjust the business plan and functional specification through the NPD process based on customer feedback (VOC).
  • Visit customers and regional facilities to present products, build relationships and understand applications, requirements and market. Host factory visits from customers.
  • Create marketing materials for products with Marketing Communications, including presentations, competitive comparisons, case studies, value propositions, brochures, videos, literature and promotional materials.
  • Work with Regional Leadership teams and Regional Sales Managers to develop appropriate strategies and sales targets for Non-OE aftermarket shovel, drill electric drive truck bodies (EDTs) and dragline products.
  • Participate in Product Reliability Review Board (PRRB) to help clarify, prioritize and solve product issues. Review applicable cases and opportunities to assure prompt responses to technical questions, issues, and opportunities.
  • Perform research on industry conditions, product performance and competitive activity. Build and leverage relationships with customers, region sales & service personnel, and other suppliers to achieve the level of expertise needed to properly position our products. Prepare technical presentations and present at industry conferences.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field is required.
