Operations Manager
The Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Construction Project Coordinator position. The position will be assigned multiple projects of varying scope and size, including DOA-led and tenant-managed initiatives. Individuals will work with multiple Airport Program Administrators and Engineers to facilitate project‑related tasks across these projects. Incumbents will utilize Procore or other construction management software for submittal review and processing, RFI responses, schedule review, meeting minutes, drawing updates, specification referencing, and documentation of all project items.
Other tasks include utilizing airport mapping tools, preparing reports, drafting letters and emails, arranging and conducting meetings in‑person and virtually, and operating company vehicles on public or secured airport ramp. The role also facilitates communication between contractors, County, Federal, and State agencies, DOA staff, and others to ensure timely and accurate information is provided.
Equivalent to two years of college coursework in pre‑engineering, construction technology or related field AND five years of full‑time building and/or general construction project experience. Experience in a related field may be substituted for education on a year‑for‑year basis.
Working ConditionsWork outdoors in all weather conditions. Exposure to safety hazards on construction sites.
Licensing and CertificationPossession of a valid Nevada Class C driver’s license at the time of appointment. Certain departments may require I.C.B.O. or other nationally recognized certification in at least one area: building, combination dwelling, structural, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical.
Medical ExaminationEmployment contingent upon successful physical examination performed by an approving physician.
Pre‑Employment Drug TestingEmployment contingent upon successful pre‑employment drug examination.
Residency RequirementPermanent employees must maintain a principal place of residency within Clark County and provide proof of compliance with Nevada motor registration and driver’s license laws within 90 days of employment.
CitizenshipCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Clark County does not provide H1B visa sponsorship or transfers.
Background CheckEmployment contingent upon education/experience background investigation, a fingerprint‑based criminal history record check processed by the FBI, and the ability to obtain and maintain a security badge mandated by TSA. All prospective hires must present two original government‑issued IDs upon acceptance of job offer.
Customs and Border Protection Security Seal ProgramEmployment with the DOA for this title is contingent upon a ten‑year employment and five‑year residency history record check and the ability to present original identity documentation to meet Security Seal requirements.

Responsibilities- Provides construction project coordination and management of construction/development and renovation projects of varying degrees of complexity.
- Activities must include both construction management inspection functions for major development projects and project management functions on renovations and minor construction/development projects.
