Nevada Health Centers is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Physician Lead to provide regional medical oversight while continuing to deliver direct patient care. This role is ideal for a physician leader who is passionate about serving underserved communities and strengthening systems of care within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment.
The Physician Lead partners closely with the Chief Medical Officer to ensure high-quality, accessible, and patient-centered care across assigned clinic sites.
Key Responsibilities Clinical & Regional Leadership- Provide medical oversight to physicians and advanced practice providers
- Foster a collaborative, team-based model of care
- Ensure continuity, access, and quality across sites
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and chart reviews
- Support compliance with FQHC, HRSA, and regulatory standards
- Promote evidence-based practice and clinical protocol development
- Monitor documentation, coding, and EMR accuracy
- Coach and evaluate clinical staff
- Identify and support continuing education needs
- Assist with onboarding and integration of new providers
- Represent Nevada Health Centers within the local healthcare and public health community
- Strengthen partnerships to address community-specific health needs
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Active Nevada medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in community health, family medicine, or safety-net settings preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical environments
- Commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations
Spanish language skills are a plus.
