Preferred Qualifications:

* M.S. (Ph.D. preferred) in Surveying, Geomatics, Photogrammetry or closely related field required or conferred within 12 months of hire.

* Expertise in Public Land Survey System (PLSS), Legal Descriptions, and Advanced Boundary Analysis.

* Experience teaching through distance education technologies or hybrid delivery models.

* Demonstrated teaching experience at the post-secondary level in surveying, geomatics, or a related field.

* Proven ability to engage students through applied, hands-on, and field-based instruction.

Key Responsibilities

* Teach undergraduate courses and laboratories in land surveying and geomatics (both in-person and online formats).

* Develop course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with program outcomes.

* Lead and manage the accreditation process for the BAS Surveying and Geomatics program.

* Advise students, support recruitment and retention efforts, and contribute to continuous program improvement.

* Maintain regular office hours and provide effective student mentorship.

* Travel within Nevada as required (reasonable accommodations available per ADA).

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Why Join Great Basin College?
