Job Description Great Basin College is hiring for a full-time, 9-month tenure track EMS faculty position.

Inspire the next generation of EMS Providers! Great Basin College (GBC) is seeking dedicated and dynamic Paramedic Instructor to join our team in Elko, Nevada. Qualifications:

Education:

Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) from an accredited institution

Experience & Licensure:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing paramedic.

Eligible for Nevada Paramedic certification/licensure (licensure required upon hire).Prior teaching experience is a plus but not required.

Skills & Attributes:

Passion for teaching and mentoring EMS students.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to oversee students in laboratory and clinical settings.

Experience with distance learning and instruction is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach AAS/Cert Paramedic programmatic, EMT, & AEMT courses.

Provide hands-on instruction in simulation labs and clinical environments.

Coordinate clinical placements

Evaluate student performance and ensure achievement of learning outcomes.

Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities, and student advisement.

Contribute to the EMS department, School of Health Sciences, and college committees.

Travel:

The position may require driving to other GBC campuses, with or without reasonable accommodation as per the Americans with Disabilities Act, with possible overnight stays to coordinate students and programs throughout the service area. There must be a commitment to the GBC mission to serve rural Nevada.

Compensation Grade Academic Faculty – 2B Contract - 9 month (end of August to mid May) working contract paid over 12 months.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $55,000 - $85,000

Salary is based on relatable education and experience, internal equity and budgets.
