• Demonstrate safety leadership and safety consciousness.
• Task‑train coworkers in the safe and efficient use of equipment.
• Manage the sample inventory and related warehouse materials, ensuring no damage to people, property, or processes.
• Maintain accurate records of new materials placed into storage and a full understanding of storage locations.
• Complete periodic daily workplace inspections and correct problems within individual capabilities.
• Accurately photograph drill core, ensuring natural colors and minimal distortion.
• Ensure timely shipments to laboratories and accurately complete required forms.
• Demonstrate knowledge of statewide warehouse locations and safely travel to and from these sites while adhering to site safety protocols.
• Identify naming and numbering errors in sample handling procedures.
• Read and understand material retrieval requests, collect the materials, and ship accordingly.

• Knowledge and understanding of basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental policies and practices, with a willingness to develop related skill sets.
• Maintain a valid state driver’s license for light vehicles and the ability to safely and effectively operate light vehicles.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
• Effective organizational and communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
