Technical Field Support

Location: Elko County, NV (Carlin Trend / Northern Nevada)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract with Extension Potential

An exploration team operating in one of North America’s most active mineral districts is seeking an Exploration Geotechnician to support drilling and surface exploration programs across multiple targets.

This role sits at the intersection of field execution and technical accuracy. Geotechnicians support geologists and drill crews by ensuring core, samples, and geological data are handled correctly from the pad through to logging and analysis. The ideal candidate enjoys fieldwork, understands the importance of QA/QC, and takes pride in clean, accurate data.

• Core handling, transport, and organization

• Assisting with RC and diamond drilling programs

• Supporting core logging, sampling, and QA/QC

• Field mapping and surface sampling support

• Maintaining accurate geological records and databases

• Coordinating daily activities between drill crews and geology teams

• Supporting site logistics and general field operations

• Diploma or degree in geology, geoscience, or related field preferred

• Prior exploration, drilling, or geology field experience

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

• Comfortable working in remote field environments

• Valid driver’s license

• Field rotations aligned to drilling schedules

• Exposure to near-mine and district-scale exploration

• Strong development path into senior geotechnician or geology roles
