Regional EHS Specialist

Overview

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Regional EHS Specialist based in Elko, NV to lead and enhance environmental, health, and safety programs across the region.

• Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems and ensure compliance with Sandvik EHS Global Standards.
• Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training for managers and employees.
• Conduct hazard and incident reporting, investigations, and follow‑up actions.
• Recommend improvements to EHS practices, business processes, and workplace design.
• Coordinate internal audits, inspections, and reporting to OSHA, MSHA, EPA, DOT, and state agencies.
• Manage workers compensation cases and assist with MSHA reporting when necessary.
• Drive the implementation of the Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology EHS Strategic Management Plan.

• Bachelor’s degree in science, environmental, or safety discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of EHS focused work experience.

• MSHA certification.
• Experience in mining, heavy industry, manufacturing, or production environments.
• Familiarity with safety management systems and related software.

Elko, NV

Up to 30% travel to mine sites and other U.S. locations for EHS support.

Annual salary range $79,900 – $108,000.
