The Mining Engineer is a full-time role based in the Elko, Nevada area. This role is responsible for planning, design, and project optimization to support safe, efficient mining operations. Day-to-day tasks include preparing upcoming plans, performing technical analyses, and collaborating with operations teams to implement engineering designs in the field. The Mining Engineer will monitor production data, evaluate geological and geotechnical information, and support cost, scheduling, and resource forecasting.

The role also involves ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, preparing technical reports, and coordinating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and management.

• Candidates should possess strong Mine Planning skills, including short- and long-term planning and pit layout design.
• Candidates should possess Mining Engineering skills, including application of engineering principles to mining operations and project execution.
• Candidates should possess Mining knowledge, including understanding of ore mining methods, processing, and industry regulations.
• Candidates should possess Analytical Skills, including data interpretation, problem-solving, and the ability to evaluate technical and operational performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Experience in open-pit mining is preferred.
• Working knowledge of mine planning software (e.g., Deswik) and CAD tools is beneficial.
• Strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with field crews, supervisors, and project managers.
• Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions and terrain common to mining operations.
