Fourmile Expansion Superintendent
The Fourmile Expansion Superintendent is the project-facing finance, cost control, and capital reporting leader for the Fourmile expansion project, accountable for project budget setup, forecasting and cost-to-complete tracking, commitment and accrual visibility, capital reporting and variance analysis, capital governance, project controls integration, business case and scenario support, cash flow and phasing, change control support, and post-implementation evaluation as the project transitions through execution and close-out.
Reporting to the Senior Manager
- Capital Controls, the role partners closely with Fourmile expansion project leadership, the NGM CFO and site finance, project controls, technical services, engineering, construction, supply chain, operations readiness, and the broader North America Capital Controls team to ensure the expansion is well governed, transparently reported, and aligned to Barrick's North America capital allocation framework. The Superintendent provides decision-grade capital and cost information to project leadership and finance leadership, ensuring expansion costs and capital are tracked with discipline against approved budgets, schedules, contingencies, and stage-gate decisions, and that the project transitions cleanly into capitalization, benefits tracking, and steady-state reporting on completion.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Mining Engineering, or a related field required.
- CPA, CMA, CIMA, MBA, PMP, AACE / CCP, or other recognized project controls certification preferred.
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience across capital controls, project controls, project finance, cost control, FP&A, capital accounting, mining finance, construction / project reporting, or major project evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience supporting major capital projects, expansions, mine development, construction, or capital-intensive operations strongly preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred, ideally guiding small project-based cost or capital teams.
- Hands-on proficiency with ERP, planning, and BI platforms (SAP, One Stream, Power BI, Tableau preferred), project controls and capital evaluation tools (e.g. Primavera P6, Eco Sys, Prism, Xeras), and advanced Excel-based financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of capital governance, cost code structures, commitments, accruals, forecasts, contingency, change control, project economics, and variance analysis.
- Track record of delivering decision-grade capital reporting, cost-to-complete analysis, business case evaluation, and post-implementation reviews to project, site, and CFO audiences.

- Strong project partnering instincts, with the ability to embed alongside engineering, construction, project controls, and operations readiness teams while maintaining independent finance judgment.
- Solid business case and project economics capability, including NPV, IRR, payback, sensitivity, and risk-adjusted evaluation of scope and change decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions and pressure-test estimates, schedules, contingencies, and forecasts with confidence and respect.
- Disciplined approach to capital governance, change control, stage-gates, and approval thresholds within a defined capital allocation policy framework.
- Strong cost, schedule, and commitment tracking discipline, with clear understanding of accruals, capitalization, and period-end close mechanics for capital projects.
- High data integrity standards, with attention to WBS, project master data, reconciliations, and systems alignment.
- Strong systems and data literacy across ERP, planning, BI, and project controls platforms; able to challenge and improve underlying data quality and master data.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across project leadership, site finance, technical services, engineering, construction, supply chain, and corporate functions.
- Proven ability to coach and direct small project-based cost and capital teams to deliver consistently high-quality outputs.
- Sense of urgency, disciplined execution, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong business ethics and alignment to Barrick's values.
