Job SummaryMental Health Tech – Provides direct patient care under nursing supervision and helps maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
ReportingReports to:
Senior Behavioral Health Director
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
License: CNA Preferred.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 45 days of hire;
Handle with Care (HWC) within 45 days of hire.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living.
- Provides or assists with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions.
- Observes and records patient behavior and activities; reports changes to nursing staff and suggests modifications to treatment plan.
- Provides crisis intervention with incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.
- Review and comply with LifePoint Code of Conduct and all relevant Company and Division policies and procedures.

Salary Range: $16.54 - $24.23 per hour
