Director of Clinical Education – Cardio-Respiratory Care Instructor

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape the clinical education experience for respiratory therapy students across diverse healthcare settings.
• Oversee the design, coordination, and continuous improvement of clinical learning experiences.
• Organize and manage clinical placements.
• Evaluate program effectiveness, and foster strong partnerships with clinical sites and preceptors.
• Provide oversight and support to part-time faculty delivering instruction in remote locations.
• Actively teach students throughout Nevada using in‑person, Zoom, and online platforms.
• Make a meaningful impact on rural healthcare workforce development while working in a flexible, student‑centered environment.
• Travel within the GBC service area as required.

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of four (4) years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), with at least 2 years in clinical respiratory care.
• Current or ability to obtain Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst POCA or Blood Gas Technologist license required within 120 days of hire.
• Excellence with written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and supportively with students, colleagues, and clinical partners.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Demonstrates expertise in clinical education for respiratory therapy, with a focus on program design, student engagement, and partnership development in diverse healthcare settings. Holds relevant licenses and certifications while fostering a collaborative learning environment.
