Caregiver​/Personal Assistant

Job Overview:

Duties:
- Provide caregiving services to clients, including assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
- Implement behavior management techniques to support clients with diverse needs.
- Assist with lifting and transferring clients safely when necessary.
- Support clients with home and community care activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Specialize in dementia care to provide compassionate and understanding assistance.
- Administer first aid when required and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Drive clients to appointments, outings, or errands as needed.
- Offer direct support in activities of daily living to promote independence.
- Monitor vital signs and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Be prepared for heavy lifting tasks that may be part of the caregiving responsibilities.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals safely and with dignity.
- Knowledge of home and community care practices is beneficial.
- Familiarity with dementia care principles is a plus.
- Certification in first aid is required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record for driving responsibilities.
- Experience in providing direct support to individuals with varying needs is desirable.
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and respond promptly to changes.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting tasks that may be involved in the role.

Pay: $185.00 - $225.00 per day
