Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced People Services Director / HR Director to serve as the senior HR leader for a healthcare organization. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to drive workforce strategy, employee engagement, talent management, labor relations, and organizational development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the senior HR advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team
- Lead employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, retention, and performance management programs
- Oversee union partnerships, collective bargaining agreements, grievance management, and labor negotiations
- Drive employee engagement, succession planning, leadership development, and culture initiatives
- Manage HR operations, compliance, workforce planning, onboarding, and policy administration
- Analyze workforce metrics and implement strategies to improve retention and operational effectiveness
- Supervise and mentor HR team members while fostering a high-performance culture
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Experience managing HR functions including:
- Employee Relations
- Labor Relations
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Compliance
- Performance Management
- Experience supervising and developing HR staff
- Healthcare experience (Acute Care Hospital strongly preferred)
- Union/Labor Relations experience, including collective bargaining agreements, grievances, and arbitration preparation
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certifications
