Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced People Services Director / HR Director to serve as the senior HR leader for a healthcare organization. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to drive workforce strategy, employee engagement, talent management, labor relations, and organizational development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the senior HR advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team
  • Lead employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, retention, and performance management programs
  • Oversee union partnerships, collective bargaining agreements, grievance management, and labor negotiations
  • Drive employee engagement, succession planning, leadership development, and culture initiatives
  • Manage HR operations, compliance, workforce planning, onboarding, and policy administration
  • Analyze workforce metrics and implement strategies to improve retention and operational effectiveness
  • Supervise and mentor HR team members while fostering a high-performance culture
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Experience managing HR functions including:
    • Employee Relations
    • Labor Relations
    • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
    • Compliance
    • Performance Management
  • Experience supervising and developing HR staff
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare experience (Acute Care Hospital strongly preferred)
  • Union/Labor Relations experience, including collective bargaining agreements, grievances, and arbitration preparation
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certifications
