About the Opportunity A respected community-based healthcare organization in northeastern Nevada is seeking a People Services Director. This senior leadership role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serves as a strategic advisor to the executive team. This is an opportunity to lead the Human Resources function for a well-established acute care hospital, guiding workforce strategy, employee engagement, labor relations, and organizational development initiatives.

The Director will oversee one HR team member and support a workforce of over 200 employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all HR operations including employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, retention, performance management, and compliance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness.
• Develop and execute retention initiatives to improve engagement and reduce turnover.
• Oversee union relationships and lead labor negotiations while fostering collaborative partnerships.
• Monitor and analyze workforce metrics to identify trends and implement proactive solutions.
• Manage HR departmental budgeting and ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Coordinate internal and external HR audits.
• Promote a culture of professional development, accountability, and employee well-being.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 7 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience
• Strong employee relations experience

Preferred Qualifications

• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.)
• Prior healthcare industry experience
• Union/labor relations experience
