Systems Analyst, IT Project Manager
Turner Staffing Group is seeking an IT Project Analyst to support a client’s IT organization in the Elko, Nevada area. This is a project-based role designed to assist an IT Project Manager across multiple concurrent initiatives. The position is well-suited for candidates with some project management experience who are looking to grow their skills in a structured, real-world IT environment.
Position OverviewThe IT Project Analyst supports the planning, execution, and closeout of IT projects using standard project management methodologies. This role focuses on routine project coordination activities, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication to ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Support multiple IT projects by maintaining schedules, task lists, dependencies, and action items
- Track and report project status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans
- Coordinate project meetings, including agendas, meeting notes, and follow-up actions
- Assist with basic business analysis to identify requirements and align technology solutions with IT policies and standards
- Apply standard project management methodologies across project phases (planning, execution, closeout)
- Support communication with project stakeholders and provide regular updates throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain organized project documentation and shared storage repositories
- Respond to routine inquiries regarding IT policies and procedures, escalating complex issues as appropriate
- Support delivery of project activities within defined timelines and quality expectations
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Maintain awareness of relevant technologies, regulations, and industry best practices
- Some experience supporting IT projects or working in a project coordination / analyst role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with common productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches)
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure, applications, or systems projects
- Exposure to project tracking or documentation tools
