We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee asphalt, aggregate, ready-mix concrete (RMC), and construction operations in Elko, NV. This role is responsible for driving performance across safety, production, financial results, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate is a strong, hands‑on leader who can build high-performing teams, optimize operations, and support continued growth while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities What You’ll Do- Lead all aspects of operations including aggregate, asphalt, RMC, and construction activities.
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture in compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and company standards.
- Drive operational performance to meet or exceed production, quality, and financial goals.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
- Ensure efficient use of resources, equipment, and personnel.
- Develop and support team members through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Partner with estimating and sales teams to support bidding and project planning.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish long-term strategies and operational goals.
- Oversee capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management (aggregate, asphalt, concrete, or construction preferred).
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage performance in a multi-site environment.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Solid business and financial acumen (P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting).
- Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to drive results and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel locally between job sites.
