As part of this transformation, the Health & Safety Manager will play a critical leadership role in shaping a proactive, high-performing safety culture.

This individual will partner closely with operational and technical teams to strengthen safety systems, reduce risk, and position the organization for long-term success. This is an opportunity to influence strategy, lead meaningful change, and make a lasting impact on how safety is embedded across the business.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide leadership and oversight of all health and safety programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risk while advancing safety initiatives
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health and safety systems and processes
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement through coaching and visible leadership
  • Guide and support inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  • Oversee key safety programs including emergency response, occupational health, and training systems
  • Analyze safety data and trends to inform strategy and reduce risk exposure
  • Lead incident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing strategic insight and technical expertise
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing health and safety team
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on safety expectations and best practices
  • Support preparedness planning and contribute to broader organizational safety initiatives
What You Bring
  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Progressive experience in health and safety within mining, manufacturing, or a similar environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
  • Experience in risk management, incident investigation, and safety systems implementation
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
  • Professional certifications are considered an asset
