We are looking for an Underground Miner I Tech 3 or higher to join our Underground Operations teams at Nevada Gold Mines.

• Safely operate various pieces of hand, powered or mobile equipment to meet site production goals.

• Comply with Loss Control (HSLP), Environmental, and NGM policies and procedures.
• Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations.
• Teamwork.
• Work Practices.
• Perform preop inspections on all pieces of equipment and machinery prior to use.
• SKILLS – 8 OF 11 ARE REQUIRED. OF THE 8, TRUCKING AND UTILITIES ARE MANDATORY.
• Haul Truck Operation — demonstrate the requirements to perform a proper heading inspection; preoperational checks; ability to suppress airborne dust; receive muck safely; safe ramp travel; dump muck safely.
• Back filling.
• Rockbreaker (Leeville only) optional.
• Conveyor Operation — demonstrate heading inspection, pre-operational checks, lock-out/tag-out, worn/defective components, PPE, monitoring, clearing plugged chutes safely.
• Backfill mixing (Chukar only).
• Slickline optional — demonstrate workplace inspection, pre-operational checks, safe startup, lock-out/tag-out, securing/placing mixer truck, hazard recognition, shutdown and cleanup.
• Water Truck Operation.
• Dewatering – sumps/pumps operation.
• Wash Bay Operation.
• Utilities.
• Nipper.
• The above duties are representative of the nature and level of work and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.
