The Terminal Operator II will perform daily loading, unloading, administrative, and safety requirements on site. The role involves active participation in site maintenance, 5S programs, and customer engagement to ensure a solid customer experience.
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Gain full understanding and demonstrate adherence to the safety program.
- Load trucks according to the daily schedule using onsite systems.
- Unload product according to the daily schedule using onsite systems.
- Handle inquiries and orders for customers and sales personnel.
- Maintain shipping logs, prepare bills of lading, and calculate split‑load tonnages based on customer instructions.
- Complete all safety checks and audits independently on site.
- Maintain supply point and 5S standards.
- Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently on site.
- Complete basic maintenance of equipment on site.
- Have basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High school graduation or equivalent (required).
- Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Independent proficiency with company apps for site emails, safety incident reporting, training, and other programs.
- Certification for Rail Conductor, Barge, and Truck Safety as required by site requirements.
- Certification for use of onsite mobile equipment as required by site requirements.
- Demonstrated safe operation of site equipment.
- Willingness to learn; training will be provided.
The work is performed in both shop and outdoor settings, with exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise. Compliance with specified safety guidelines is required. Work may involve exposure to high elevations up to 250 feet and all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
