Leeville - Underground Trainee; Tech or Higher

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various pieces of hand, powered or mobile equipment to meet site production goals.

• Comply with Loss Control (HSLP), Environmental, and NGM policies and procedures.
• Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations.
• Teamwork.
• Work Practices.
• Perform preop inspections on all pieces of equipment and machinery prior to use.
• SKILLS – 8 OF 11 ARE REQUIRED. OF THE 8, TRUCKING AND UTILITIES ARE MANDATORY.
• Haul Truck Operation – Demonstrate the requirements to perform a proper heading inspection, preoperational checks, suppression of airborne dust, receiving muck, safe ramp travel, and safe dump of muck.
• Back filling
• Rockbreaker (Leeville only) optional
• Conveyor Operation – Demonstrate the requirements to perform a proper heading inspection, pre operational checks, lock‑out/tag‑out procedure, identify worn or defective components, required PPE, monitor conveyor, and clear plugged chutes safely.
• Backfill mixing (Chukar only)
• Slickline – optional – Demonstrate workplace inspection, pre operational checks, safe startup, lock‑out/tag‑out, mixer truck placement, recognize hazards, and shutdown/wash‑out clean‑up.
• Water Truck Operation
• Dewatering – sumps/pumps operation
• Wash Bay Operation
• Utilities
• Nipper
