Our OR Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients. This department provides clinical care for patients from Neonatal to Geriatric patients.

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Prepare, position, and transport patients for procedures.
• Prepare surgical and endoscopy suites with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies. Validate proper reprocessing of scopes for every procedure.
• Assess and care for patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre‑procedure and post‑procedure care.
• Operate specialized equipment and maintain a safe environment.
• Account for use of supplies during surgical/endoscopy procedures.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances throughout the perioperative process.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Applicants must have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• ACLS and PALS are required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
