• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities
• Documents patient care provided
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
• Prepares, positions, and transports patients for procedures
• Prepares surgical and endoscopy suites with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies; validates proper reprocessing of scopes for every procedure
• Assesses and cares for patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre‑procedure and post‑procedure care
• Operates specialized equipment and maintains a safe environment
• Accounts for use of supplies during surgical/endoscopy procedures
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances throughout the perioperative process
• Assists patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required
• ACLS and PALS are required
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
