- Rapid response position requiring candidates to start 7-10 days from offer acceptance.
- Role:
Registered Nurse (RN) in Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, Pediatrics specialties. - Position involves working in Acute Care Services with potential float to other departments depending on patient census and needs.
- Patient population includes Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric patients.
- Common diagnoses/treatments include COPD, CHF, Pre/Post Cath Lab, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, Acute Respiratory Failure (Adult & Pediatrics).
- Equipment used includes Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, GE Telemetry Monitoring system.
- Electronic Health Record system: MEDHOST.
- Patient ratios are 1:5.
- Shift: 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed weekly hours.
- Call requirements as per contract.
Job Details
- Required certifications: ACLS and PALS (must be obtained within 60 days and 90 days respectively after start date).
- BLS certification required.
- Registered Nurse License required.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in the specialty.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
Job Requirements
- 12-hour shifts.
- 36 guaranteed hours per week.
- Weekend hours variable.
- Call requirements as per contract.
Schedule Information
- Unit:
Acute Care Services. - Patient ratios: 1 nurse to 5 patients.
- Equipment includes Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, GE Telemetry Monitoring system.
- EHR system: MEDHOST.
- Patient population includes Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric.
- Common diagnoses treated: COPD, CHF, Pre/Post Cath Lab, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, Acute Respiratory Failure (Adult & Pediatrics).
- Potential to float to other departments depending on patient census and needs.
Unit Specific Information
- Fit testing offered on-site to travelers.
- Must be greater than 60 miles from facility to be considered travel.
- Weekly orientations available.
- Local rate information removed due to sensitivity.
- Unit has 23 beds.
- Scrub color not mandatory; any color acceptable.
