More About Our TeamOur Behavioral Health Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients. This department provides clinical care for patients from neonatal to geriatric.
How You’ll Contribute- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments
- Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities
- Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families
- Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation)
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support needs)
- Assess learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
- Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education
- Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Current state RN license and an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support certification (required)
- ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
- One year of experience (preferred)
- ASLS certification (preferred)
