The Medical Surgical Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric.

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Perform timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• ACLS and PALS are required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
