Essential FunctionsSign‑on bonus:$15,000 for experienced Registered Nurses;$12,000 for New Graduates.
More About Our TeamOur Behavioral Health Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to patients. The department provides clinical care for patients from neonatal to geriatric.
How You’ll Contribute- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
- Perform plan‑of‑care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Document patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
- Assess learning needs and deliver age‑ and culture‑appropriate patient and family education.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
- Participate in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
- Provide quality patient care and work other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on‑call.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Current state Registered Nurse license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Basic Life Support certification (required).
- ACLS and PALS certifications (required).
- One year of experience preferred.
- ASLS certification preferred.
