Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Services Department, Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health. Join our dedicated team to provide high‑quality emergency care at a 75‑bed acute care hospital serving Elko County and surrounding areas.
Schedule3‑12 hour evening shifts (3:00 PM – 3:30 AM) with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities- Prioritize and organize delivery of nursing care, accepting a variety of assignments and consulting with other disciplines as appropriate.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Assist staff development activities: orienting, instructing, and training others; promote interdepartmental cooperation and teamwork.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy; provide support to patients and families during times of stress or crisis.
- Apply knowledge of normal growth and development, assess population‑specific data, and perform appropriate treatments for various age groups.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Document patient care provided.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients and maintain a safe, comfortable, therapeutic environment.
- Current RN license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 14 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Trauma Nursing Core Set (TNCC) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Sign‑on bonus: $15,000 for experienced RNs, $12,000 for new graduates.
