- Provide direct patient care in Pre-Op, PACU (Phase I), and Phase II recovery settings across a 10-bed surgical unit
- Care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric, including cases in ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, OB, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Cath Lab
- Prepare and recover patients undergoing procedures such as total joints, laparoscopic surgeries, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, C-section, cardioversion, and pacemaker placement
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 in Pre-Op and Phase II, and 1:2 in PACU
- Fulfill call requirements including one weekday call shift per week and one weekend call shift per month
- Float within the surgical department as needed and utilize EHR systems including Medhost and CQI
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience in Pre-Op, PACU, and Phase II recovery
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
- Proficient IV insertion skills
- Ability to work variable 10-hour shifts and fulfill on-call obligations
- Willingness and ability to float within the surgical department
- Previous travel nursing assignment experience
- Prior experience in an acute, rural hospital setting
- Familiarity with Medhost or similar EHR platforms
- Work at a Joint Commission–accredited regional hospital serving a close-knit community, with access to exceptional outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and more in the nearby Ruby Mountains
- Gain well-rounded surgical nursing experience across a broad range of specialties and patient populations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
