Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor at a healthcare organization in Elko, Nevada. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care across adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations within an acute care setting. The role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant community with access to outdoor recreational activities and local events.

Job Details:

• Schedule:
  
  Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  
  No minimum years of experience specified. Valid nursing license. Must have ACLS and PALS certifications, with the ability to receive these within 60 days for ACLS and 90 days for PALS after start date. Must be greater than 60 miles from the facility to be considered a travel candidate.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or related units. Knowledge of common diagnoses such as COPD, CHF, pre/post Cath Lab, orthopedic surgery, acute respiratory failure (adult & pediatrics).
• Additional Information:
  Potential to float to other departments depending on patient census and department needs. The unit has 23 beds with patient ratios of approximately 1:5. Equipment includes Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo monitors, and GE Telemetry Monitoring system.
