Job TitleTravel RN – Labor & Delivery (LDRP)
LocationElko, Nevada
Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an LDRP unit encompassing Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Triage, Postpartum, and Nursery
- Manage and monitor patients through antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages including couplet care
- Perform and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring with appropriate clinical interventions
- Assist with and provide post-operative care for cesarean sections and manage OB triage assessments including nonstress tests
- Recognize and manage obstetric emergencies including hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, and hypertensive crisis
- Float to other departments as needed based on patient census and unit needs
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
- Must reside greater than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel placement
- Hands-on experience with SVD, cesarean section, inductions, and neonatal hyperbilirubinemia management
- Familiarity with Omnicell Medication Dispensers, Baxter Pumps, Masimo Monitors, and GE Centricity Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring equipment
- Prior experience with Centricity and/or MEDHOST electronic health record systems
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with flexibility across unit needs
- Work at a Joint Commission-accredited regional hospital serving a growing community in northeastern Nevada, with a supportive women's services unit staffed to AWHONN standards
