American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active NV RN license and 2+ years of L&D experience, working night shifts on an LDRP unit.
Requirements- Active NV RN license required
- Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Experience with SVD (no VBAC) and cesarean section required
- Experience in OB triage, nonstress testing, postpartum, and nursery care required
- Experience managing hemorrhages, fetal monitoring interventions, and pre-eclampsia/eclampsia/hypertensive crisis patients required
- AHA certifications required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration
- LDRP unit providing Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Triage, Postpartum, and Nursery care
- 15-bed unit with 6 L&D beds and 9 Postpartum beds
- Level 1 nursery with postpartum couplet care
- Patient population includes adults and newborns
- Common diagnoses include antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, pre-eclampsia, cesarean section, inductions, and neonatal hyperbilirubinemia
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards
- Equipment used includes Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter Pumps, Masimo Monitors, and GE Centricity Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring
- EHR system used is Centricity/MEDHOST
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No call requirements
- Floating to other departments such as Med/Surg and Psych required based on patient census and department needs
- Provide comprehensive care across Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Triage, Postpartum, and Nursery
- Manage newborn care and procedures including hyperbilirubinemia treatment
- Team environment values knowledgeable, flexible, hardworking team players
- Street clothes are not acceptable attire
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
